You missed the point. This wasn't about which player was better than which.

This was about how many teams have/had 4 or more players in their lineup from a specific draft.
This thread is absolutely created with the premise the players are great, not just playing.

The Blackhawks have played 5 guys from the 2020 draft this season. Reichel, Kaiser, Isaak Phillips, Louis Crevier, and now goalie Drew Commesso. Are they all looking great or have nhl future, no, but nobody would make a thread lauding them.

I think you're overrating Cuylle.

For example, are you saying Cuylle-Laf is similar to Ek-Kaprizov??

Or Werenski-Gavrikov?

or even close to Pasta+4 other NHLers?

Or toews-sorokin?

Or Faber-Laferriere-Byfield?

I'd also throw in 2014 Van: Demko, McCann, Forsling, Virtanen

Cuylle is playing on the third line and putting up good numbers. I think you're underrating him.

0 stars and two middle 6 players?
Not about stars, it's about hitting on as many picks as you can in a draft.

How many of those guys played in the NHL?

The next 3 picks did.

Marino played top 4 for most of his NHL career and makes 4.4 mill per year. The two picks between McDavid and Marino have over 250 games in the NHL each

So 4 of 6 picks went on to be serviceable NHLers or better.

Is this the best draft class for a team recent memory? How many other teams are playing 4 guys from the same draft class?

Laf
Schneider
Cullye
Bedard

Maybe the best in recent memory for New York but not even the best or second best in 2020

Byfield
Grans
Faber
Laferriere

Stutzle
Sanderson
Grieg
Kleven

Like the Rangers are not even close to those dude

It goes deeper than that. We called up Rempe today, so that’ll be 5 NHL’ers. Garand is our third goalie and most likely will be the backup next year. Could have 6 regulars on the team next season from this draft.

If you want to go back to 2009 the Islanders got John Taveras , Calvin de Haan, Casey Cizikas and Anders Lee, all still playing. De Haan’s 658 games is the fewest. Two goalies, Mikko Koskinen and Anders Nilsson each played a little over 160 games.
Of course the Islanders were pretty bad so they found playing time early and Taveras (or Herman or Duchene) was automatic
