Pretty common mod with Mustangs still these days. See quite a few of those with louvres on the side quarter and rear windows.

The look can be hit or miss depending on how the car louvres fit the particular car and how the car has been modded overall.

Sometimes, they look fantastic, other times, not so much.
Overall design for the louvres on that Mustang aren't bad but I really don't like the sides with the visible bolts.

Yeah, the ones in my example image aren't bad, but aren't the best either. Like I said, a lot depends on the product and how it fits the car in question etc. I have seen some look completely seamless, like they're straight from the factory, body colored paint and stripes that look utterly gorgeous... others have looked completely garish and ugly and completely ruin the look of the car.

Saw an Audi R8 Quattro today. Man oh man does that V10 sound fantastic.

I would have gotten even more jealous than I already was but I didn't get much of a look for long...and there was no f***ing way in hell I could catch up to that freaking car.

I did end up waxing the BMW this afternoon, picked some ceramic wax, which I had been using a spray wet wax, but since the car was dry...I do feel like the clay bar did make it easier to wax and buff out too.

FWIW, that is the actual top color - not black, can't remember what the BMW color code is, but sometimes people think it's faded. The back window is glass too, which is something they added to the Z4s.

I hate living in a state with dual plates, really sucked having to install that front bracket.

I didn't wax my Civic unfortunately, but will wash it again, and I usually do wax it before our first snow.

Finally got everything running right been dallying since the beginning of August. Fun car. Over the winter probably going to HR sport springs and bilstens for next summer.

1990 325i . Wierd options - vinyl non sport interior, 6 button OBC, but with 5 speed and LSD. 162k miles as close to stock as they come

No idea what any of that means, but my girlfriends younger brother just bought a '91 straight 6 with a manual and a sunroof. Needs an e brake cable, full exhaust potentially including the headers, suspension, rad fan (it doesn't have one for some reason?), and also has no windshield wipers on it. Gear shift takes the strength of 10,000 men to shift to move. Audio is a horrid mickey mouse job and it needs a rear shelf/package tray. Trunk has a pair of holes, right in the corners over the fender which also have the usual chip of rust on em. Undercarriage is in good shape

It runs, drives, stops, just needs a lot of little things and a couple annoying not-so-little things. He paid 6500 for it and drove it 4 hours home, so it can't be that bad. His father is bullshit because he thinks he got totally porked on the deal. I think 65 is ok. They're really hard to get in Mass. I think a couple grand into it he could flip for 10 if he wanted. That firm shift worries me though. When I say firm, I mean you'll cramp up after 10 minutes in traffic.

I've been driving these old Bimmers since 2008 so 6.5 hurts my soul knowing what these went for "in my day". lol You're right though late model 5 speed 325i like the one you described is a desirable car that's very hot at the moment. What color is it?

Are first and second harder to get into than 3, 4,5? The linkage can get all F'ed up particularly impacting 1st and 2nd. I've seen the trans mounts completely missing leading to the actual linkage being bent and causing the problem you described. Is the clutch grabbing high or not until a few inches above the floor?

color is not far from yours. It was originally white but was painted a burgundy/champagne. I’m a guy, i can’t explain colors if they’re not pure primary. Top of the sunroof and fog lamp housings are still white. Side mirrors are flat black.

gears are all tight. Clutch grabs low

it slams hard so i do wonder if the mounts are toast. I’m almost positive the plan is to drop the transmission over the winter. He said something about having to drop a cross member to get at the exhaust, so once it’s all out he might as well get a better look at the trans. I think that’s what he said anyway, I’ll have to chat him up again soon

i basically told him i won’t touch anything under the hood (holy hell it’s tight under that hood!) but once he’s ready I’m up for interior work. I don’t mind ripping seats and dashes, and I’m good at spending someone else’s money on that stuff.

I have an 88 325i project car/race car. Mine had comfort seats, the OBC, and an auto with a 4.10 LSD. It's got a Ford V8 now though.

In other news...

Got my car back and installed the rear window louvres. Absolutely love them.

I'm not a Miata guy, but f*** that's gorgeous.

In laws have a Miata, hatchback 3, and a CX-3. They're all just way too small for me. Very easy on the eyes but I have a lot of trouble getting in/out of them, particularly the Miata.

I'm basically perfect size for the Miata, though I would have had a tough time a year ago when I weighed 65lbs more. 5'9"-5'10" is about the limit before having to do things like lowering the seats. I haven't been in a 3, but the CX-3 is definitely too small IMO.

I was ok driving the CX-3 around town for a day when I had to borrow it, but I wasn't super comfortable and couldn't move my legs much. As a passenger in the CX-3 it was pretty rough with somebody in the back seat behind me. Knees were hitting the dash.

The Miata is even worse for passengers, there's a hump in the floorboard for the catalytic converter to go, giving a lot less room on the passenger side than the drivers side.

Noticed my poor boy was bleeding yesterday. Fuel line just under the rear drivers side door. I'll have to take him in for surgery.

Cant really complain when all I've had to do is a starter and a brake caliper in 4-5 years now

I'll do that beginning of December. Didn't even snow once last year here.

Just got myself a birthday present: tinted rear windows on my faithful steed.

Just hope it stops raining long enough for me to give it a good wash; want to give it one more seasonal coat of wax before the winter.
noice!

yeah it's gonna snow here, that's a given. the temp is what seals it for me this early. summers do not work well around freezing.
