In the back of my head before this game started was how Burnett imploded in the pressure driven NY market and how will he perform with similar pressure now.

But this isnt all on him, Hurdle crapped the bed on this just as bad.

AJ didn't have it today, but the manager's job is to be aware of his surroundings. At the first sign of struggle in a game this important you have to start thinking about your back-up plan...not waiting until the game is firmly in the loss column to do so.

Hell, if this game is even 5-0 there's a small hope...but 7-0 with a runner still in scoring position and no outs? That's one of the worst managerial decisions I've ever seen in any sport.

Whenever AJ doesn't have command of his curve, it is a disaster. If I know that, Hurdle should have as well. Hurdle just demonstrating that while he is a good motivator, his game management is subpar.

It must be something with this city. It seems that all of our coaches are poor tactical coaches.

This situation with Hurdle, Tomlin's clock management, and we all know about Bylsma's shortcomings.

Oh well......on the bright side I like Cole's chances tomorrow against Lance Lynn. But yeah, Clint definitely left AJ in way too long. Heck, as soon as he walked Waino I had the feeling that inning was not going to end well.
