Marte steals a home run away in the first and wins it with his own in the ninth.

If you would have told me only two Pirates got a hit the whole game and still win I wouldn't have believed you. lol

Lets take the series in front of a national audience tomorrow night.

there was one on ROOT that was soo bad. cutch kept answering with one word(with a real pi$$y mood) instead of sentences, it was this yr.

He was called out on it in the media too, and since then his postgames have been much better. Still cliches and stuff, but not sounding pissy. I get that it's annoying to do them, and Robbie to me is like Potash so I don't really blame the players, but it's part of the game, so suck it up.

Before the Padres dropped 7 runs on the Cardinals, Matheney let Carlos Martinez bat in the top of the inning down 1 run with 1st and 3rd one out.

A big win tomorrow and an 0-3 start to the Cardinals west coast swing (they have 7 more left-4 vs AZ and 3 vs SF) could really put some pressure on them. The Giants have to be pretty desperate to win, but we should have a pretty decisive advantage in pitching matchups as long as bad Liriano doesn't resurface.

Wacha on the mound for the Cards today. You have to think they'll take that one. They play at 4, so we'll know before the game if we can get back to 2.5 games out. It's getting exciting now.

Watching the highlights from last night....is is just me or was Greg Brown not on his game last night for that walk off call? I was expecting better. I set the bar pretty high for him.

It would be glorious for that pitching staff to come down to earth and them feel the desperation to maintain their spot up top the MLB.

Wacha/Martinez are quickly going to pass their career high in innings pitched. Something to watch for the rest of the season.

At the very least, it should affect them next year.
