My God these Star Wars puns are going to get old real fast. That's 4 by my count before the first pitch has even been thrown. 5 as I write this.

I met his friend who's over here with him and we talked a little bit (Doesn't speak a lot of english) of baseball, and he said the Pirates are really good. My response was, they need that big bat. They still do.

Nobody is consistent.

Heck, putting a guy who's hot batting cleanup would do.

That's baseball. No such thing as a hitter who doesn't go on cold and hot streaks throughout the year.

Even though it is Rodriguez, I am glad Walker is out of the lineup against a lefty. He's garbage as a right handed hitter. I wish he would just stop switch hitting and go lefty all the time.

Sofield was definitely waving him. You can see it on the first replay they showed to start the inning.

It's no wonder the team is so bad on the basepaths when you consider that the base coaches don't have a ****ing clue.

I want to blame Polanco since he's not exactly winning me over with his base-running decisions this year...but Sofield is just as bad and that one is on him. He needs to have the stop sign up there...not sure why he thought sending him was a good idea...counting on the other team making an error is just stupid.

As someone who doesn't like Star Wars...this is painful to watch.

As someone who watched the original Star Wars trilogy endlessly as a child and who still loves them to this day...

This is still way too much. We get it, it's Star Wars night. They should have just made a few jokes early on and then just start calling the game normally. This is very annoying.

Suspect defense and base running has been an issue this year. I understand the first, but the second? How does that happen on a consistent basis to a team? That's so weird because it's not like we have a bunch of idiotic players.

The last couple years the Buccos have really been smart with running and maximizing their output.

You keep saying that Cole, but the Pirates have been suspect on the basepaths for the last couple of years for sure.

Again, the base coaches are clueless, it's no wonder the players make bad decisions as well.

Selective memory? Maybe I chose to block it out? Maybe the Pens have ruined my memory?

I just can't remember consistent mishaps running the bases like this year.

Wow. Lester got hammered tonight. He's been pulled after 2 and 2/3rds innings pitched and has allowed 7 runs. 5 rbi's and 2 hr for Nick Castellanos of all people.

Ball girl needs to be fired.
