Worst fundamental team in the league. They got a miracle last night to overcome it, not tonight.

Yeah, that Reynolds error was huge.

And seems like Chapman has two modes, dominating, or has Steve Blass disease.

This one really stings. The offense was a total letdown in getting zeroed for the last 5 innings.

Also when you have your "against lefty" lineup in, once the righties start coming in please swap out the platoon guys like Olivares and Taylor. Bae and Suwinski should have been in this game much earlier.

It's the same story almost every game. The Piates get a few runs, in one inning, and that's it. The only question is if the pirate pitching can make those runs work. Tonight it didn't.

Giants were determined to win. Pirates have that losing DNA.

I guess in one sense the two games even out in that they probably should be 1-1 in them even if the results were flipped from what should have occurred, but man, being up 5-0 with Jones going is one you can't lose.

GMBC's 2023-2024 offseason is just the gift that keeps on giving - Chapman, Tellez, Taylor, Gonzales, Grandal, Perez, Fleming - it'd be hard to do much damn worse than that.

That group as a whole has basically a 0.0 bWAR from what I can tell (think it ends up 0.1). While bad, I can easily see ways it could be even worse.

They're paying that group about $30 million for replacement level play, while the Giants are paying Snell $32 million while he's at a -0.8 bWAR right now.
