This guy is carving everybody up. Might be a long night where you just hope Keller keeps things going in the right direction.

With the draft, I'd like to be convinced otherwise, but I really don't see the upside with Jones. He doesn't seem to have the athleticism for short/in general from a SS, and he seems to lack any standout tool. I'm definitely hoping we go prep with our pick, however it shakes out.

Yeah, might as well pack this one in.

I can't really believe I'm saying this, but I don't get why Chang isn't playing tonight. Vogelbach simply should not play vs LHP at the very least. I know Springs has reverse splits, but this lineup is going to be a nightmare all night. I'll be shocked if Springs doesn't go 7. I guess the only relevant test here is if Keller can lock it down and at least get into the 6th.

Keller didn't have good luck there but walking a .158 hitter on 4 pitches was inexcusable.

You have to be able to hit the zone and force the bad hitters to earn their place on the bases.

Thought Suwinski's 6 pitch AB to start the game is exactly why I'm so high on him. He got the start tonight because they knew he would be able to work the count, see some pitches, and get his teammates in the game against this guy. He almost hit that ball well, certainly a respectable out against a guy like Springs.

Jack's going to increase that walk-rate, and lower that k-rate, and increase his BABIP. He's going to be a valuable player, maybe even a leader.

I doubt anyone needs the reminder, but Castillo was crushing the ball heading out of spring training. If the bat heats up, can't see him going back to AAA, especially with the dearth of RH bats. It's funny that he's already kinda carved out a nice role for himself as a strong glove guy, so maybe the offense will start to translate as well.

At least we've got a game now, instead of just hoping Keller can put up a few 0s while we got dominated. Some good adjustments all around that time through the order, with the exception of Vogelbach. I truly don't get it -- Shelton is obviously trying to get various guys playing time because of the roster decisions coming up. Chang has been decent at times... rather see him or even Madris at DH.

I'm kinda with @DocEmrickSkitters on him at this point. He can be useful enough at times, but I'd rather see the ABs going to the young players now. Bit of a stretch, but that's one more way that a guy like Bae can't get MLB ABs at the moment.

Let's hope Keller can have another quick one here.

Great work out of Keller. Was worried that his control had just left him there vs. Diaz but he got the job done. Not a world beating start by any stretch but I almost prefer to see him have to battle through situations and still put up a decent start.

That's something I think we've seen a step forward in all year, even before he added the sinker. Hopefully he can keep it up -- the mid-rotation version of Keller who can consistently give you a shot to win every time is pretty important to the immediate future.

Tip of the cap to Keller. Really battled to keep that 3-3. He's showing progress.

Also, can we take a moment and talk about the fact that Hoy Park could have done everything for you that Chang did, except better. Just strange why teams do what they do. I'm honestly wishing there was a way to talk to Cherington and get a no BS answer.

We need a Cruz moon shot! Come on OC!!
