Hurdle reminds me of Therrien's tenure with the Pens. He is good enough to motivate players and get the most out of them but he lacks that next step that separates the champions from the rest. I'll be absolutely shocked if we ever get to the WS with him as the skipper.

How deep, a guy who never posts in the Pirates thread is trolling about saying the Pirates are done when they're down 3 to one of the hottest pitchers in baseball history. 2deep4me.

You got me.

Game over.

A pitching machine would get the Bucs out the way they are batting. Too aggressive on crap, too conservative on meatballs. They haven't learned a thing about Arrieta either. Guy starts off 95% of batters with an outside fb and not a single hitter has sat on it and drove the ball to the opposite field.

Hitting coach needs to go.

Hey, at least he gave the players some rest instead of trying to win the division so they could be ready for this game!

I do agree with you about the Therrien comparison. There are coaches/managers that can take a bottom feeder and turn them into a playoff team, but can't make them a championship caliber team.
