OT - NO POLITICS Rainy Weekends Always Get Me Down edition

The biblical rains have begun. My office abutts a gutter and storm drain and all I've heard for the last hour is a rhythmic, deep, gurgling as the water and air sloshes through.

Thanks to this rain, my work got canceled tonight, and with MassDOT shutting us down on the Friday night before a long weekend, and Monday being a holiday, I have myself a fabulous five-day weekend.

Sometimes dreams do come true.

I know it’s been dry and nature needs it, but I find rain depressing as hell and it’s going to be crappy for most of the next 10 days.

It is a good point. Past few summers I was wishing a good down pour to save my ass.

Our ground water is still below normal level. It has been so wet it doesn't feel like it should be, but it is.
