OT: Raiders news, notes

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord Server

Kinda sounds like they may not spend the assets to trade up

I hope not... Sanders is definitely not worth trading up for... He may not even be worth a first. Ward seems to have a higher ceiling but don't know if he will reach that ceiling.

Honestly, neither guy is worth the trade up. With Geno no reason to move up in 2025. Use pick 6 either on Graham the DT, Johnson the CB. Assuming that the 2 QBs go before then. Carter and Hunter will both be gone.

Kind of surprised LV didn’t send Mayer out to get Geno. Seattle could use another TE. Letting Brown go I think. Maybe Fant later.

Looks like we're going to have a lot of new starters on defense. Spillane, Hobbs and Moehrig all gone.
Figure the GM, Carroll would have spoken with dC Graham and who he liked. Surprised all of them left. Figured one of Spillane or Morhrig would have been retained. LV not really paying any of their secondary guys. Don’t expect Jones to get a new deal after his rookie deal is up.

Only added Chin. To replace moehrig.

Raiders basically replace Moehrig and Hobbs with Chinn and Stokes. Chinn/Stokes come in at a combined $12 mill AAV which is equal to Hobbs AAV. But, with all of their cap space LV has done little with it. The 2 top UFA WR were former Raiders in Adams/Cooper. The rest probably have seen better days like Kupp, Diggs, Godwin (I think he signed), etc.

Still early in free agency but LV would be in line for 3 comp picks for the 3 guys they lost. 4th for Moehrig. Likely 5ths for the other 2. One could be netted out for the chinn signing but still very early.
These two comp picks are from free agency a couple of years ago. So it'll be future assets for guys lost this year.
