In the 5 game stretch of winnable games they just completed they went 1-4 and got outscored 138-88.

At home to the undefeated Chiefs. This is one of those games they win out of nowhere isn't it. Or lose 30-10.

Their season depended on the stretch following their 2 game road trip to LA and Bal. To have come back 1-1 from that they had a shot to realistically beat Car, Cle, Den and aim to split Pitt and Rams. Get to the bye with a winning record at 5-4 or better if they could split KC and Cin. Instead they got beat by Carolina and lose close games vs Pitt and Rams because their offense turned the ball over with 2 fumbles by RB and Minschews picks and fumble vs Rams. Both games turned on a raiders turnover.

After the bye games vs Miami, NO, Den and LAC at home. And steal one vs TB or Atl to get to 10 wins.

This is a team that was 10-7 with rich B but mark davis hired NE people and went 6-11, 8-9 and now more than likely another losing season.

New QB
Well, he's just there to be the Backup. I don't think there is a connection between Arthur Smith and Getsy is there that the 2 offenses from ATL to LV would be similar. So, he's got to learn the playbook. Their QB3 is a PS undrafted rookie from South Alabama by way of Toledo.

In the AFC, right now KC has home field. Beat Bal in the opener. They are still due to play Buffalo later in the year. I think only Bal or Buf can beat them but they can't make the mistakes they have in the past. If Cincy gets in, they always have a shot with Burrow of upsetting KC.

On the NFC side of things, hard to bet against Detroit. Though, I do feel that they need DL help. Does Campbell make more thoughtful vs aggressive decisions come PO? Play the score and situation vs just go for it cause that's who they are?

SF a lot of injuries this season, so not sure they can go on the road to win, especially if they get down.

Just going to get by this season.

Expect sweeping changes in the off season again.

Great job Mark.

Tried to make a right with another wrong. Ticked the players off when he passed in giving Rich B the job and instead hired Josh. Then that blew up and listened to the Lakers for a LB coach with limited other coaching exp. And that hasn’t gone well either.

He was wrong about the coach he picked instead but Bisaccia was never going to be the answer.

Umm, this is still HF Boards right? WTF do the Raiders or the NFL have to do with hockey?

I agree. Long term Rich B wasn't the guy. But, Mark tried to make it up to the players for not hiring Rich B and then hired AP who finished out last season well.

Mark is a lousy owner. Honestly, without the color, logo and uniforms, Raiders would be more Browns level of laughter.

It's an OT thread. You are free to participate or ignore the thread at your choosing. Most other boards have a non hockey thread for the other sports in their city.

I'll def be ignoring, no worries there, was just shocked to see this topic in the latest posts section and am surprised the mods allowed it, they like to close threads at the drop of a hat sometimes after all

Well, 3 of the 9 teams that had 2 wins going into week 10 won. Carolina, New Orleans, New England. Miami is in LA vs Rams tonight.

Leaves LV, Cle, Ten, Jax, Giants as the other remaining 2 win teams.

McDaniel, Pederson, Dabboll likely fired if they finish bottom 5. Pierce, if this is a 4 win team is likely fired. Though the Defence is ok, but doesn't create turnovers. Thus rely on Offence to at the very least move the ball and not turn it over. A few games have turned the moment the Offence lost the ball like vs Pitt, LAR, Den.

I don't think Pierce gets fired in the off-season regardless of record.

At this point the best thing that could happen to the Raiders is to finish last and guarantee they get their first pick. To my eyes Cameron Ward is the only likely franchise QB in the draft.

Coaches and players are coaching and playing for their next contract or job. Unless it’s a fire sure Pierce is back he’s coaching to win each game. And the players are playing hard to get a contract for 2025 be it with LV or another team.

Where the raiders finish who knows. But Pierce to me unless he’s able to hire a good staff like Dan Campbell has done in Detroit, he’s just not a good enough X and O scheme coach to have average coaching.
