Bills and Steelers also in on Adams
If the raiders are not retaining money, which would then allow them to shift several million of his remaining $970k per week cap charge over to 2025 year then that is the trade off with getting a lower pick.

But goes to show that you need to be decisive vs we will see how it goes mentality. Could have gotten a 2nd plus like Buffalo did with Diggs.

Breaking. Adams to Jets. No return mentioned yet.
Updated news is that is a 3rd with potential to be a 2nd if the Jets make the AFC champ game or if Adams is 1st or 2nd team all pro. Not sure Adams getting that is likely as he's missed 3 games and in his prior 3 games had 18 catches for 209 yards, and we are 1/3 through the season for the Jets. So, in 11 games will he get 1,000 yards and another 70 receptions? 88 catches for 1200 yards is good stats, likely pro bowl stats, but likely not All pro stats.

But, LV didn't retain any money, thus save on his $970K for 12 weeks, so about $11.6 mill in cap savings they can push to next season to offset his remaining $15.7 mill in dead cap charges.

So tired of this continually wasting draft capital. Last first rounder to get a multi year extension from LV was Colton Miller from 2018 draft. Before Miller was Huff from 2006. Raiders opted to not pay quality guys like Cooper/Mack, but a lot of misses in between Huff to Miller as well that just played their rookie deal and walked.

Final approval by all owners at fall meeting
Honestly, not sure this moves the needle with Mark in terms of decision making.

After this sale, the Davis family will be down to what like under 40% interest in the team? Still can't just buy out the other minority owners and take control of the franchise from what I understand. That is still under the Davis family and Mark.

This news comes the day they deal Adams for a 3rd (yes, conditional, but he'd need basically 100 yards a game plus 7 catches per game) to have a shot at being 1st or 2nd team all pro to activate the 2nd rounder or get to the AFC Championship game.

They just keep bleeding picks who aren't part of the team past their rookie contract, especially the first rounders. Very few picks since they lost in the SB in round 1 have earned a multi year contract after their rookie deal with the Raiders. And that's now like 20 drafts of players who have been eligible for one.

Huh.
Mark hired the people making the decisions on the starting QBs.
When is this fool going to take ownership for all his bad decisions?

Yes, Carr was mid, but since Carr, they have had Stidham, Jimmy, Hoyer, AOC, and Minschew start games in the past 25 games.

He needed to have signed off on the plan to move off Carr by the NE staff.

And this is the result of his hirings. Own it a-hole.

Should have ponied up to outbid Carolina for the 1OA pick in 2023. Adams, Wilson pick, Bowers pick, Young pick and a 2025 2nd would have been needed to match the Carolina offer of Moore, Wright, SF 2nd in 2023, Williams pick, and future 2025 2nd.

But, went with riding with Jimmy.

Maybe make some comments about why you hired the people you did to make those decisions.

Does not keeping money so they can have more next year signal they think this team can be better and a playoff contender next year? Because I'm not seeing it. No quarterback wants to come to them as they are and you seem to be right that the draft of quarterbacks seems to be weak. How does that position improve enough for winning next year?

I don't think there are really any QBs on the market.
Stafford maybe, but at his age if he was moved has to be a good team, and that isn't LV. And he would count like $45 mill of dead cap to LAR.

There is no Cousins and no Dak in free agency.

Darnold and maybe Geno. But, LV doesn't have the supporting cast and offensive mind in O'Connell on offense for Darnold to make him look good.

Not loving the QB class. Won't know for another 6/7 games where the Raiders likely land in the draft, but I don't think there are QBs that are worth a Bryce Young haul to give up for.

So, I don't see the answer at QB next year. Barring someone stepping up from out of no where. But, won't likely occur if the OC is Getsy again.

Could be very interesting insight.
He apparently can't criticize another team. So, that means the he can say Watson is playing poorly and that he should be benched, but can't say that was a terrible trade by the team.
Or say that it was wrong for the Jets to fire Saleh?

I said before, his limitations due to his minority stake ownership is going to hinder how good a broadcaster he will/can be if he can't provide an honest of what is happening on the field and any management/ownership decisions that have impacted the roster/coaching etc. that he sees translated onto the field.

Now, how does this impact FOX's decision on Brady moving forward if at all? Or is the name recognition of Brady more than able to offset any limitations on his color commentary?

I amend my earlier statement. They may be bad enough to finish bottom three but apparently this isn't even a good QB draft year I've heard.

Why did they kick the field goal? Minshew wasn't going to go ninety yards to win the game with a touchdown with no timeouts and a minute or so. If your defense stopped them.

But there was a small but possible opportunity to get a nine yard play to score a touchdown and get a two point conversion.

Shows the lack of faith in the O and QB.

When GB did the same thing vs TB in the PO when it was Brady and ARod I thought what are you doing? Trust your future HOF QB. Rather than your D to get the ball back since you need a TD anyways.

So you're going to kick the fg and hope your terrible offense is going to get the ball back down the field a second time with little time on the clock and no TO's and score a TD instead of going for it when you're actually in scoring position? The math ain't mathing. This is at least the second time in his short tenure he has done the same exact thing and lost. I like Pierce and hope he stays on as a defensive coach but he is not a HC. I'd keep him and Getsy on for the rest of the year to tank but with no huge QB prospects it's just another wasted year.

Every year that passes without a quality QB, they blow another year off Crosby's prime. One of the reasons they moved Mack. Mack was basically the same age as Maxx (4 years in college and is in year 6) vs 5 years for Mack at Buffalo and 4 years in the NFL going into year 5 when traded.

Team can't score in the RZ.

How many games will they will of their final 10?
KC, Cin, Mia, Den, KC, TB, Atl, NO, LAC.

Maybe 3, vs Mia, Den at home, NO in the Carr showdown unless NO also makes the call to move off him vs pay him another $30 mill in base plus the $10 mill option that has been guaranteed for 2025. Maybe, best case they squeeze out 1 more win in that mix to finish at like 5/6 wins?

Last year 5 wins landed pick #5. 2022, it would be pick 6. 2021, pick 6.
