Man brings stability the Raiders have been looking for in ages. The recent Antonio Pierce head coaching gig was a waste of resources o oh cause he said some Raiders cliches and he was from Compton.

Exactly, a steady hand is what the Raiders need to get the ship in the right direction.

Guys love playing for him and he’s definitely a players coach.

At his age he’s obviously a stop gap but if he can instill some stability into the organization while building the proper culture it’ll go a long ways.

Well, raiders need to draft a QB so thats a priority. Also, he needs a good OC and DC.

Ben Johnson is the same age Pete Carroll was when Carroll was in his last year as the Vikings DB coach

I actually don’t think this is a bad move for the Raiders. Carroll is old but he brings a lot of energy. I think the year off helps. He’s not a ten year guy obviously but he’s the adult in the room who can help stabilize this as a more serious franchise.

The AFC West coaching line-up is pretty historic. Reid, Payton, Carroll all Super Bowl winners and Harbaugh has been to the Super Bowl.

9 combined appearances, one less than Brady on his own.

Not sure in recent history if there's been a division with this kind of coaching resume.

If you are a coveted HC prospect why join LV now? Reid, Payton, Harbaugh along with their QBs are in the division. LV has no QB.

With Johnson off the board, Raiders need stability. Get that with Pete. Question is who he hires as OC and DC. Last couple of DC not great. Hurtt and Norton. OC Bevell, Schotty, Waldron.

Needs better. See if they keep Graham and let him run it again. But need an OC.

Cause things can change fast. Bobby Slowik was getting hyped last year as a future HC and now hes out of a job.

Johnson, was the guy LV wanted and he took the Chicago job. LV wasn't going to be getting their top choice this off-season vs the other clubs who had openings. Chi/NE IMO were the top 2 landing spots based on their roster (mainly at QB). If you can agree on power/salary, those were the places to land.
