Radko Gudas: The BIGGEST NHL Rat NO ONE Talks About

Your gif doesn't support your position at all.

Gudas took 1 stride then glided the last 15 feet before contact & never left his feet which makes it the definition of not charging. He even made a play on the puck.

Just because he gets checked into the net means nothing in regards to a charging penalty. It has to fit the other criteria which are 3 strides or leaving your feet to make the check.
The rule doesn't say anything about the amount of strides a player needs to make. It just says "distance travelled". He doesn't make a play on the puck, he just hits Aston-Reese's blindside.

Full motion is better. Gudas is prepping for a hit by crouching down and homing in on Aston-Reese which he then dangerously hit into the frame of the net. Like the results speak for itself, no? Even if he did actually swipe the puck away he still lays the charged travelled hit on the blindside of Aston-Reese. The hit made his body spin and made his spine go right into the post. It's a penalty

Are you ok? Sorry for posting proof Lol
I'm watching the full motion gif and still see the poke check.

This is fruitless. You keep talking about the result of the hit as if I give a shit about Aston-Reese - I don't. I care about the lead up to the hit, because THAT is what is involved in calling a charge. Charging is a lead up to the hit penalty, not a "didn't you see his body spin and hit his SPINE on the goal post?!" penalty.

Lol “the refs agree with me” has got to be the weakest attempt at recovery I have ever seen.
Well that's the point. You have to prove the refs wrong and I'm not seeing it so far. It's really that simple.

Gee, I wonder why leaf fans think that the refs are constantly screwing them? It could be because they rank 28th in power play opportunities since 2018…

You have to apply the whole rule.

42.1 Charging: Charging shall mean the actions of a player who, as a result of distance traveled, shall violently check an opponent in any manner. A “charge” may be the result of a check into the boards, into the goal frame or in open ice.

And as I said, he could have knocked the puck but it's still a charge since he lays the hit. He travelled a distance going at a fast pace and violently checked the opponent's blindside into the goal frame.

Try removing your head from the sand.
Try to disprove the call on the ice

Anaheim???

It's not everyone. And I'll repeat again again, he does not need to stride into the player for it to be considered a charge. No where does it say that in the rule. It just says distanced travelled.

And again I'll repeat, the thehockeyguys has a good interpretation of the rule

thehockeyguys isn’t interpreting the rule, he’s proposing a change of the rule to take out the « gray zone ».

The so called « gray zone » is where the league has used its discretion in interpreting the rule to usually include strides.

It’s not that complicated.

This wasn’t a charge as the league applies its rule.

By the NHL rulebook this play is a textbook Charge.

Gudas, as a result of distance traveled, violently hit Aston-Reese who was a step ahead of Gudas into the goal frame which resulted in the net being completely dislodged forcing the Refs to stop play.

You can't hard hit a player right into the pipes lolol
You should feel embarrassed for posting this. It’s one thing to be ignorant of the rules- hey, we all didn’t know something until we did- but to wilfully ignore the part about the rule that makes it a charge, in order to highlight a part that suits your narrative is gross.

Gee, really?
So what’s your point? I said the leafs ranked 28th since 2018 in power play opportunities, they should be way higher considering they’ve been one of the top teams in the league since then. Colorado, Tampa, and Florida are all in the top 5.

Gee, really?
Yea, Leafs have pretty equal pp and pk together which evens out. But the opportunities they get is low for both pp and pk. Leafs also play one of the most 5 on 5 hockey. Though this year I think is different, as you can see lol

Read the rest of my post. And, actually i think im gonna edit and get rid of the highlight in that post cause a lot are misinterpreting it.

So in summary the team with the 11th best PP differential in the league is getting screwed by the refs!
Very sneaky how the NHL is covering their tracks here.
