I’d say it’s rebounds
I think his rebounds are fine. He plays deep in the net which is kind of a new school approach. Especially for someone as quick, side to side, as he is. But his glove hand and puck handling are his two weaknesses.

Carolina is really sloppy tonight, a lot of turnovers that their tenacious forecheck is masking to an extent

Put Aho on the top unit. Enough of this.
Aho's game has finally come around. He's playing much better these past 20 games and playoffs. Seems like it took forever.

I stand corrected. I wanted him gone in the worst way for his constant falling down in his own end, etc. But he's gotten better.

And he's got some skill, which this team badly needs

I agree. His glove is a Tad Slow. No Baseball in Russia!

Of course I will take a 3-1 lead into the 3rd, but they haven't played well. The D zone coverage is spotty, they are less physical than previous games, they don't look crisp, they are losing 50-50's, yet, they are opportunistic. Let's hope they don't spend the entire 3rd in their own zone.

If only Horvat could get going offensively.

Sounds like a plan
Let's not start sucking each other's dicks about being so dominant 4 on 4. For the most part, we are pretty slow. Barzal and JPG will not be on the ice every 4 on 4 and even if they are, inevitable turnovers will occur. Carolina's D is pretty mobile and will eventually take advantage of the open ice as well.

You do you. I ain't doing that.

Barzy had a nice shot and I'm glad Burns took the pass away. Force him to use the wrister which he has but doesn't use near enough.

Sounded like the Isles were hemmed in their own zone for most of the first (listened on the way back to office), but pleasantly surprised to see the Isles having a 2 goal lead to close out the second.

Ha! true. You know it's funny. My son is a goalie and his glove hand isn't his strong suit either. Yet he plays baseball and is a great fielder. Plays short stop and catcher and never drops the ball. Yet gets beat glove side all the time. lol.

Have you seen the power play? I kid….let’s just stay 5 on 5 to be safe.

I feel like 20% of the board would rather be tied but the refs screwing us rather than being up 3-1 on the road heading into the third but the team "look bad."
Even better if the Isles lose and the refs screw us. Then you can complain about the refs AND Lou. Win win.

Exactly! LOL

That's weird.... Gotta work on that glove!
