Just fyi a team hasn't come back down 2-0 in the playoffs since the '19 Canes against the Caps. Not liking the odds that we'll be the next team to do it

The team as constructed is mentally fragile with some of the same players that Trotz had mentally strong. It’s truly bizarre.

My guess is a number of the ‘leftovers’ just don’t have that extra gear mentally outside a defined system.

For a mentally fragile team like this, there’s no shot they come back to win. This isn’t a bad loss after trying hard or a gaffe loss.

It’s a complete mental melt down that shows the complexion of the team - and it ain’t good.

Not that I'm sticking up for Barzal but besides maybe Horvat...what other player on this team has the skill and talent like the Canes top guys.....Basically all the Canes have to key on is Brazal and Horvat...Hate to say it but the Canes are NOT worried about anyone else beating them.

I agree on the "Mental Fragility" and you have to believe you have an "Extra Gear" to even attempt it.
I do not see that with this group at all.

Even on the Horvat goal he didn't do much, Cizikas went and got the puck loose for Barzal. He's supposed to be the playmaker and play driver but he hasn't shown up at all. In the first period he passed himself offside for the second time in this series on a quality rush opportunity. He took two bad penalties. I don't know if he had a single zone entry. He attempted to throw some hits but they were ineffective. He needs to be better, he's too important for this team to just disappear.

be careful what you wish for as some people thought we would somehow become a better or different franchise if they made the playoffs. We are being out played and exposed by a more talented team and after tonights debacle there is a good chance that we get swept. This team should have been blown up and rebuilt 2 or 3 years ago but hopefully the rebuild finally happens during this upcoming off season and IMO no one is untouchable

He hasn’t played well in either game, he did make the pass on Horvats goal. He isn’t skating and it always goes back to is he hurt, he blocked that shot in ranger game and sat in last regular season game. They need him against this team for sure if they have any chance.
