Value of: Quinton Byfield

As a Wild fan, I’d love to take a flyer on him.

Seems like he doesn’t fit in LA or is a fringe NHLer?
Ah yes, the 20 year old 2nd overall pick still growing into his 6’5” frame currently playing on our top line with 6 points in his last 8 games after going point per game in the AHL for a quarter of a season once he got healthy doesn’t fit in and is clearly a fringe NHLer.

While you’re at it, why don’t you just send us your fringe prospects like Rossi or Wallstedt. We’d love to “take a flier” on them.

Byfield is in his D+3, people should stop being so impatient with young players. I was not high on Byfield at the draft, but he is developping nicely, close to a PPG in the AHL, slow and steady improvement in all aspects of his game.

PPG? His stats don't say that. I predicted he'd get 17 points this season and got laughed at. He's sitting at 9 right now.

Rossi isn’t looking like he’s gonna amount to much so I bet he’s probably more available than you think.

Anderson Value have drop since Horvat trade
Horvat return are Beauvillier, Raty and a protected 1st and canucks retain 25%
In a deal for Anderson Montréal will not retain salary.
Forget a 1st a prospect and a players.
For me right now anderson worth a 2nd and a pospect B not more due to injury and his ;ack of constensity

That's great but I think you're in the wrong thread.

Doesn't matter. Saw him once early last season and didn't like him because my team drafted someone else so I'll give you a 2nd for him and you'll like it.

Loved him in his draft year. Haven’t watched him since, but glad to hear he’s turning it around.

The whole Wild organization has nothing to offer that would move Byfield.
Since he is back from the AHL, he is really noticeable and has 5 points in his last 7 games.

How about a goalie prospect, and a second rounder?

Why do you need Iafallo or Arvidson?
Do you plan to make the playoff?

That sucks. I hope he turns it around for his and Minnesota's sake. It's remarkable that he's playing at all after the heart condition. He's still got time, and he's still been good in the AHL right?

He's a 20 year old kid playing on the 1st line, how is that not being a fit in LA? He has also missed significant development time with a fractured ankle and sickness. Let's pump the brakes on him being a fringe NHLer.
