Pretty sick. Also probably the most blatant holding the stick I've ever seen.
Couldn't even tell which stick was his at first glance.
Should that have been a penalty? Vote here Did Byfield get away with a penalty on his ridiculous goal?

One those "I'm not even mad, I'm impressed" types of discretions. Like when the bad guy gets away with it but you're just left smiling shaking your head 'cause he was just so damn charismatic about it.

Big fella has to be on the radar for star breakout next year. Skill for days. The counting stats still aren’t going to wow but the signs are there…since Feb 1, he has 25 points in 28 games. More importantly he is leading the Kings in ice time during that stretch and is a +17 with 22 of those 25 points coming at even strength. With Kopitar’s elite play finally tapering off, the mantle is in progress of being passed, no question.
Most sharps knew this gazelle would need a bit longer to truly breakout and the ride has t always been smooth - but the underlying signs - even strength production, two-way analytics and rapidly increasing workload - all point to a guy who could be pretty special in a much more tangible way next season.
Of course, highlights like this will also help

...and you usually don't when you hold it out like the lightsabre the Kings post showed...it was a beautiful goal that shouldn't have counted...

Very cool/talented goal, but definitely not legal. I'm not sure I can call it a one handed goal.
