How was Torts Analytically in Philly?

The Flyers just played the Rangers and it was clear which team had more structure and had actual standards to adhere to.

The Flyers are bad because of the roster and primarily goaltending. That's not the coach's job.
That is where I was coming out reading the responses. Why people can’t distinguish the impact of the coach from the talent of the team he is coaching is beyond me.

Not asking how much he used analytics but rather how the team grades out under his coaching vs the new guy
I use natural stat trick and the columns i consider important were actually quite good.....(never looked at them analytically since the coaching change)

Torts is a great coach to bring in if you want your lottery team to not draft inside the top 10 for a year or two until his message wears off. Philly needed to bottom out and didn’t.

He’s horrible with young players and rookies too

Comcast relys heavily on the Flyers. I think him being coach was good for the media rather than the team, which is what all teams in Philadelphia are about.

Philly always needs to make big sports news too because sports is a big part of their economy rather than most cities. Some can argue Boston, but sports isn't their biggest thing like it is in Philly.
