The original post was ridiculous though as no player even maintains their absolute peak but Makar already has a really consistent 3 year prime going although injuries last year did happen.
Let’s hope CMac use this one to sign Makar at 12M$ when his contract is done !

They’re pretty close today…. For example if we’re basing 300 on who gets there first based on age, Hughes wins. People forget there’s a draft age difference. Then Hughes played in crappy teams before this year, whereas Makar hasn’t had that opportunity. Why not just be happy and realize they’re both competitors of each other?
If we’re using age based comparisons for accomplishments, where’s Quinn’s Norris trophy, Conn Smythe and Cup?
