Proposal: Quinn Hughes to Buffalo at the draft

Lol. People come on to suggest Dahlin and Thompson for Hughes as if it's even possible in fantasyland let alone reality.

Under the assumption a player will not re-sign, this would be tremendous value to get back.

I mean, does Buffalo do that ? Hughes is better than both, but like you said that's about good value as you can get.

If Hughes can't put Vancouver over the top, how will he help a Sabres team minus Dahlin and Thompson.

Sabres should be offering Dahlin (plus whatever it takes) to get Quinn Hughes. They dump Dahlin (who in my opinion has a million dollar body but a two cent brain) and his contract for a guy who will lead them to at minimum the playoffs.
I think Allvin (a Swede) might actually be tempted by this.

I cannot believe you posted this because of course the Canucks would gladly accept.....I mean Buffalo is not even giving up one of their top players and we all know Hughes is average...even if Buffalo had the 1st overall in that package, that is an easy NO from Vancouver...a starting point would be Dahlin, Buff 1st ++

I'm not sure a top 4 pick, recent 1OA and Quinn warrant this type of response. And Qughes isn't worth your "starting point" even without the extras.

Oh of course Buffalo would never in a million years make that trade. It'd be one of the worst in NHL history. The difference between Hughes and Dahlin is not a 40 goal scoring top line center.
