Kudos on knowing who they were!I think people are coming around on Harley, especially with the Team Canada call-up, but it is interesting that Heiskanen’s numbers are generally a bit better (better defensively by more than Harley is offensively), except for the huge disparity in goals for. Generally we wouldn’t assume that defensemen would have a significant impact on increasing goals for over expected goals for the way we would an elite forward/shooter like Draisaitl, but when it’s over 3 years it’s a pretty big trend.
whatWith regards to being mentioned as 'stars' in the NHL? Absolutely.
But because many DON'T, he is mentioned in this thread as a 'quiet star'. See?
And when his career is over and done with, barring some dibilitating injury well before that, his numbers should be quite worthy of mention with those names as well.
Anyone mention Necas yet?
homer vote Suzuki. not quite a bona fide star, but he's a nearly ppg 1C on a struggling team. his playstyle is not flashy, just effective and consistent.
