Granlund tried to do Laine's favourite dangle... couldn't do it.

Which reminds me that Laine hasn't done it either in a long while because he's playing the wrong side... And why? Because Jokinen wants to be there himself.

Good thing he's still scoring goals.
 
Lets count all the situations in the 3rd where Laine is in a perfect position to shoot but doesn't get a pass by Hietanen.
 
I would like to see Aho and Laine together again. Reunite the WJC linemates.

Also:

Finland SOG: 20
Laine SOG: 6

Nearly 1/3rd of FIN SoG coming from Laine :laugh:

Hietanen is cancer of our NT program as I wrote in last page. Hate that guy. He doesn't bring even one single good asset to team. Only thing he is good at is avoiding mistakes.

Missed at least 1, and who knows how many more shots if Hietanen wasnt blind, maybe 3. I feel like in PP when Laine gets the puck he should just selfishly wrist it instead of passing it to like, Hietanen.

Unfortunately that makes him a rare asset on the Finnish blueline. :(
 
Could it be that jokinen has some grudges or jealosity on laine? I think that he hasnt passed to laine even once in this game. Even on PP there was several passing lanes open to laine but instead he decided to pass to komarov (?) who was in side of the net. He cant be that blind or stupid, can he?

Don`t know. Yesterday in offday Laine posted a picture in instagram where he was with barkov and one hashtag was #voittamatonkaksikko (#invincibleduo). Where was Jokinen? Well ok this is overanalyzing :laugh:

They didn't know where if anywhere Finland would play QF's and couldn't really book hotels and tickets. A trip to Moscow at this point was kind of expectation and the next game would be there in any case. But what game and if there is game at all is of course open -> easier to call it games and go home. St. Pete's was right next door but Moscow is far away and setting up stuff would be a hassle.
