Sweden played bad in the first game against the Czech and have only played worse. 4-3 against Germany? 4-2 against France ?! 2-1 in OT against SUI!!? When they actually play well (first period against Canada) they let the game slip away.

We always look bad before winning gold.

As far as I know there has never been an all North American final in this tournament. The possibility exists this year. I'm curious as to how much interest European hockey fans would have in watching this final if it happens?

It is all about money. In Prague you can buy a ticket for 1 dollar. I heard about that prices at Sweden/Finnish WC. It was prety empy even when national teams played

Sigh. It was explained those were free tickets given for children.

In the final? Highly doubtful.

I really want Canada (if not Switzerland ;) ) to win it all, would be nice if they were rewarded for sending a good team for once!

Of course, other nations send close to their best teams too, but that's usual for them. Would probably motivate the big nations to send more good players.

Is it possible to know witch SemiFinals is Saturday at 15:15 GMT+2 ?

Thank you so much

I've just learned that Crosby has already played against Belarus in 2006, Canada lost that game 3:4. He even recalled that Andrei Mezin was in net, so Sundin, Forsberg, Lidstrom and other Swedes are not the only superstars Mezin was able to beat. Now Crosby has a chance to tie his record vs. Belarus up :)

The better Canadian goalie is gonna play for Belarus.
That's "the game of the life" for most Belarusian players and just a regular game for team Canada.
Canadians have a chance to make a whole country happy while almost no one in Canada would care even if they win a gold.
"Wayne Gretzky's father Walter Gretzky reports that his own father, an immigrant to Canada, was of consciously Belarusian landowner stock". Hey Canadians, you can make the motherland of the Great One happy. His relatives still live in Belarus, I even knew one Gretzky who lives in Minsk.
Belarus is better than France and they lost to Canada only by one Not too many reasons to be optimistic...

USA over Switzerland 4:3
Belarus over Canada 4:3 and Salo sends a friend request to Smith on facebook (heart beats brains on this one, )
Sweden over Russia 4:2
Finland over Czech Rep. 2-1

I give Sweden about 15-20% chance of beating Russia.

How Finland can always do so good in international tournaments, despite having any world class players (skaters), is fascinating.

But we do.

They're just not of the kind the rest of the world considers valuable.
