Mayer has outstanding numbers as well and it is not like Genoni stole us any games in the quarters in the last few years. I would have started with Genoni as well but it is not an outrageous decision to have given Mayer the start. Noone in this thread questioned the decision before the game started, calling it out now is quite weak.
I wasn't online before the game started! 😄 Anyway, it doesn't really matter. We need to beat them, no excuse.

I did not intend to "call it out". Since I didn't see a lot of swiss games and the numbers are my only information, I was genuinely interested in the underlying reasoning.

Skating circles around them like in the beginning of the 1st. Just keep this up and they'll be fine
Still to many high danger chances against for my liking. If we don't double and triple (!) down on the scoresheet soon it could still become a real nailbiter. If our recent quarter final losses have shown anything, then its how dangerous a one goal lead is. And we haven't even achieved that yet.

Yep, but if we see how Germany played against the big 3 of their group anything but a nail biter would have been surprising.

Lol, they call the penalty against Corvi but there was an holding on Ambühl 10 seconds before

Should've been a PP for us.
However, stupid penalty by Corvi.

Oh boy, just beat them.

Penalty killing is so much fun for the Swiss that they are taking this again. ;)

German PP way too static. And that was rough by Seider there, Possibly a major incoming. That could be game deciding.
