Hanifin is not a top 3. You wouldn't even know to look at him that he was considered a 1st rounder.

Man just finished watching the game. Russia should be suspended from this tournament for the diving display they put on. I've never seen anything like it. Don't know how they can be proud of a victory like that. An absolute embarassment to the sport and the country of Russia.

Looks like somebody is taking this game a little too seriously.

I cant believe I slept through this game...my God.

Anyone know where I could watch a replay online?

I had a feeling Russia would win!!!

TSN.ca has the games on their site. Look for world juniors -> video and scroll down until you see it. This game should be there within the next hours if it isn't already.

For a team to come into a game with a predetermined plan to flop all over the ice, yes I consider that an embarrassment.

OK, you're right. All of Russia should feel shame because of a bunch of U20 kids in a tournament nobody knows about.:shakehead

Yeah I get it, you lost. you're upset. But, sweet jesus, keep it in perspective man.

Perhaps the most embarrassing post I have ever seen during the WJC.

Good job.

That Gif wasn't from this year. Not sure when but definitely not this year.

Oh, I know. I was asking if it was from last years u18...Seemed to remember it was from that tournament.

LOL! God thats pathetic. Next time you should probably wait a few hours after such a result before you post.

Hanifin was one of our best players. Moved the puck very well, great skater, and made good decisions on the ice. Did you even watch any of the games?

Perhaps, but he didnt really look like top 3 material this tournament. I have never seen him before and I expected more from him, but that can be said for all top 3 players for the draft.

I thought he looked really solid today. Whether he is top 3 or not who knows but he did nothing today that would change his position compared to yesterday.

My take on the game...

Russia : I have NO idea how you are winning. The team is awful and you were dominated. But, just like against Canada, you hung on and won. It baffles me.

I am very worried about a repeat of the Canadian exhibition game where we outshoot you 50-15, yet you win. Anyway, I hope Sweden beats you because if Canada doesn't win Gold, Russia will.

U.S. : You guys are sooooo overrated. All the bragging and posturing about your U17/U18 Dream Team and the prospects that should be 4 of the Top 5 players in this year's draft. What a joke. These players play in a glorified beer league ("but they play against men!!!") and then can't compete against the best from other countries. An American player gets 5 points against the Sisters of The Poor and we never hear the end of it. Come to the CHL is you are really that good.

The U.S.

Struggled against Slovakia.
Should have been beaten by the Fins.
Canada smoked you.
Russia beat you playing terrible hockey.

Last point...

You won Gold twice when no one saw you coming - in 2010 and 2013. When teams do, like this year, more often than not you are lucky to finish fourth. Welcome to Canada's world of being a team to beat. The difference, we can handle the pressure - comes from being the best.

[MOD]

Could it be that 2013 team was just that much better... Johnny Hockey, Galchenyuk, Trouba, Seth Jones, etc....
