Strange that Kabac also scored against the Czechs in the pre-tournament. He is like a Czech specialist.:)

This is going to be boring now... Slovakia has a lead, they won't even bother trying to score another unless they have to...

Good stuff so far by team Slovakia.

Outplayed and outshot their opponent, had some good chances, two went to video review, could have just as easily been 2 - 0 at this point. Scored a goal and didn't let the Czechs have any serious scoring opportunity.

It's pretty obvious that czech players are more skilled but they just don't know what to play. Slovaks play well organized and that's enough so far. Can't wait for real coach on our bench.

I don't have exact numbers, but we won a lot of faceoffs, what is very surprising.

What did he say?

Pretty much that the Czech defense is awful, and the root of all evil. That the forwards have a lot of talent but the defense has no transition game, no physicality, no positioning, and no passing. It's a miracle that they beat Russia.

Thanks. He's absolutely right.

The root of all evil is, as I said a few times, our head coach. The rest is bang on though. A miracle was that they were able to motivate themselves to play actual hockey against Russia, not the win itself.
