Yup. It's the kind of goal that gets in from time to time. Laine had a great shot and this time it went in. Blackwood almost got it, but this time it went through.

The most important part is that it changes the angle enough that Blackwood has to move (and open up) from the pass, and Laine unloads and gets it on net before he has time to set up.

Strome looks amazing, very excited as a coyotes fan. Perlini on the other hand hasn't done jack all tournament, he had that sweet steal and breakaway goal in the first prelim game and since then has basically just been a big body in front of the net.

It was pretty even for me I thought Canada had some good forecheck and some nice looks because of it. Have to keep it up Fins got better as the period went on.

Well, quite expected: awful defensive mistakes and brilliant attacks. Unfortunately in play-off hockey the first is usually more decisive than the second. And Vehviläinen looks really unconfident. If this continues like the 1st period I predict 6-3 to Canada.

I don't know but wha's the matter with Vehviläinen? I read his saving rate in the finnish elite league is much higher/better than at this WJC.

Ok I have no idea about the quality of the finnish elite league but i can't be so bad, here he doesn't even reach 80% and that is very low.

Yeah Strome has been terrific and a real leader. His skating looks a lot better and intensity is so much higher compared to OHL playoffs last year. He's always been a decent 2-way player and good on faceoffs, that's what I thought was underrated about him.
