For those who can watch the game who are in your opinion the best players for Finland and Canada so far?

16-7-0, 2.36 GAA, .932 SV%

Yeah, it was just draft rank.

Yeah, those are just stats.

Our starting goalie's (Vehviläinen) stats from FEL, a league where men play:

9-1-4, 1,79GAA, .93,82 SV% and 3 SO.

Can you really say he has been as good as his stats would indicate? :sarcasm:

The 2nd period was the reverse of the 1st. Canada losing their defensive composure and getting tasked by the Finns at the end of the period.

The period ended at the right time. Canada needs to regroup.

I just realized I won't be able to watch the semi-finals OR the finals...

Damn school. Why couldn't the tournament be scheduled to finish before the break :(

So many stupid mistakes by both teams but holy **** this is an entertaining game!

Finland will take the win tho.

WTF is Canada doing? There is still a period left...get yourself ****ing together. I miss the other Finnish goalie.

Canada could have had a 5 on 3 and taken a stranglehold.
I still cannot understand for the life of me what he thought he was doing...just an imbecile.

I don't think he knew there was a call, he had no stick and It would've been a 2 on 1. Still dumb but he had his back to the ref.

The fact is that the biggest problem of Canada right now is really bad coaching and it started from day 1 of the tournament. Undisicpline play, questionable decisions, questionable use of lines, questionable use of players, afraid of pulling his goalie to change the momentum, that's all on coaching. If Benoit Groulx was coaching this team they would be definitively a better team.

Marner is actually not even close to ready for this level. Hes swimming all over the ice and cant do anything on the PP which is suppose to be his bread and butter.

Play Sanheim or Dermott in his place, why does he get full 2 min power plays?? Makes no sense.

How did Virtanen look before the assist on the Crouse goal? I've watched from there-on-out and saw the penalty that shifted the tide.

He was actually playing well using his teammates and playing hard as always. Then he goeas and takes an insanely stupid penalty. Virtanen's hockey IQ is non-existent.

Grading this game so far.

A- nobody
B- Virtanen, Strome, Konecny, Crouse, Dermott, Roland Mc

F-Marner, Perlini, Blackwood,Fleury

No, but if you actually read what I was quoting, I was saying the reason he was picked was because of how good he has been in the OHL. Not defending his play as if you actually read posts you'll realize that's clearly not what I've been doing.

This coach's an idiot.
Perlini takes a bad penalty that costs a goal. He's back on the ice right after.
Strome takes a bad penalty that gives Finland many scoring chances. He's back on the ice right after that.....
