Craig Button said he had Sweden advance to the semifinals with an easy win over Latvia???....not so fast. The Latvians are a team that doesn't give up even when they are down.
To be fair, Craig Asston is an idiot.

Hot goalies are the great equalizer regardless of the level of hockey. Sweden could finish with 80 shots and a complete dominance of play only for Feldbergs to go "lol" and stop 77 of them while you lose 4-3.

Getting eliminated is also a great way to avoid that.
That might actually be their plan considering everything that has happened so far in the tournament.

Gidlof played admirably for a mediocre (at best) SHL team while Armalis was injured, Thelin is playing for an Allsvenskan powerhouse and still has shittier stats. Then he finishes the group stage with sub-.900 Sv% and still is THE GUY. So go figure. THE GUY might be the priority over winning.

Hey I've seen this one before!

Shame Gavin McKenna isn't "the guy." He might get ice time if he was.
