The Big Smoke (unfortunately)
The rule is that you throw a hit leading with the knee, which he did. There's nothing specific about contact or "knee on knee". The IIHF has different rules than the NHL.

3/4 of the complaints in this thread are just ignorance of the IIHF rules.

It sucks to lose here, but Canada has been undisciplined all tournament and that is on Cameron.
What about elbows to the back of the head?

Somewhere in Quebec.
Just went wrong every where, couldn’t score, couldn’t string passes together, poor coaches and just weren’t disciplined at all. Poor team build and selection, we went through this balanced team bullshit 10 years ago, can’t believe we tried it again this year. Take your best players and stop being afraid to use 17 year olds. Questions should be asked, yes last year was a weak crop but this is the worst play for a Canadian team I’ve ever seen.

Well, sorry Canadian boys, I'm sure you did the best you could, i don't think you were led very well. Of course they don't get all the blame, when things fail you always have to look in the mirror too.

We will back back next year, you better believe it.

Congrats to Czechia.

The Canadian roster was the worst fears everyone had when they built it dialed to 11. That should be a wrap on that regime making choices. But you can’t say no one saw it coming. Felt like most people disagreed with the roster construction…just assumed it wouldn’t go THIS bad
