The difference between Gajan and Urban is more than a goal per game vs elite international teams. Take their raw save percentages in USHL play and apply it to 35 shots per game, Gajan allows 3.1 goals, while Urban would allow 4.2. Now extrapolate that for higher quality shooters than your typical USHL team, and the gap widens even further.
Why are you starting from a basis that the betting odds are at all a realistic portrayal of the actual odds? The Slovakian team has better high end talent and a very strong defense. Even with equal goaltending the teams are very even. This is a very weak Finnish team, losing to a German team that got blown out by Latvia. Aside from one bad period with their 2nd and 3rd string goalies against a stacked US team, the Slovaks have looked pretty impressive, if inconsistent. They were very good in the first 2 periods against the USA, and excellent against the Czechs. They didn't play great vs Switzerland, but that's where having an elite goalie pays off.
