Indeed I have, they have increased their zone time this period but so what? there is really not much the Finn goalie can't see and easily handle. They really aren't being very dangerous with that zone time at all.

Finns are playing their best game in the tournament when it matters. Win or lose this game, at least it won't end because of a trash performance.

I have been so busy with work, I have not been able to watch as much of the WJ as I usually do, but today I get to watch Mikko Kokkonen a little closer. He is a pick I am very curious about.

And Finns have played some of the most entertaining hockey internationally many years now, no need to sneak hate.

Usa has easily the more dangerous chances and luckily but luckily i think the finnish gameplan is working and theyre still in it.

Reffing has been normal iihf stuff. Beecher thing looked very scary. Fins got away with a clear elbow at the start.

I'm quite pleased with how well Fins have played. Did not expect for this to go so well. I really think its 50/50 now.

Would be f***ing nice if any one of these dmen would get a shot thru. Alltho such a great job from US to shut those down

Nah, Helminen sucks. Finland should slow the game down way more so they could actually gain speed advantage with the puck against American defense. At least the fore-check is working and they're not turning the puck over in dangerous area, resulting in a 0-0 tie. US probably wins this with an out-of-nowhere wrister right below the crossbar, as per usual.

Both teams have been looking super sloppy so far. It's like they all would be hungover or something.

Finns are known for good team cohesion, not for flashy games (not counting the Laine-Aho-Puljujärvi team), so it's a fair thing to say that slowing the game down works for us.

I have to say that I don't see the point of putting a low-IQ guy as a coach though.
