But Heinola had already brought the puck into the zone before that and I did not see it exiting, the replays did not show that part.

Not sure what to say other than there is one angle that TSN showed that clearly demonstrates the offside... the other angles were not very conclusive.

They showed the entire play.The player was clearly in the zone before the puck came into the zone

Bringing the puck over the line* is the thing that makes it ok to cross. If the puck hasn't crossed over, you can't have a player over. That's how it's been for like since the offside was brought into the game.

The finish forward was already in the offensive zone by at least a foot when Heinola entered the zone...

No he wasn't? What are you even looking at?

The guy is onside in this frame and Heinola is already bringing the puck back in this frame, the puck entered the zone before this frame. The puck never came out of the zone.

That's what I thought too as soon as I saw the replay, I had no idea what the Finnish player-turned-commentator Osala was shouting about, he mentioned that the puck was already onside before the dekes and was visibly confused

Yeah the puck carrier slowed down and cut back putting Heinola offside. It was 100 percent offside, the linesman should have caught that one.
