To be clear:

Hasek won Nagano
He didn't play one second in our 3 consecutive world titles
He didn't play one second in our back to back Jr titles as he was damn near 30

He isn't eligible. Dec 31st is the cutoff I am pretty sure. Perfetti is a Jan 1 birthday born a day earlier and he would be able to play.

But Hockey Canada preaches possession now...

And avoiding the penalty box...

Historically IIHF refs call reactive penalties to sack of potato diving...

So HC teach angling... sticks in gaps and over matches... in International hockey...

You can dispute what you like, but we created this game and we have no history of cheating in it, all we have is a few fans wearing tinfoil hats grumbling their conspiracy theories. If Canada even ends up on the right side of what happened in Salt Lake, with the 14 or so straight penalties against Canada, then you can gripe.

Your history with hockey means nothing in this context and your gate keeping reflects negatively on your argument.

It is a bad idea to have referees from the same country referee a game and it’s a bad look in this game (whether or not it was intentional); Hockey Canada should have expended the money to diversify their referees for optics and fairness

Nah I don't like early goalie pulls. You have another 2-2.5 minutes to pull out a goal, shorten the bench and see what you can create. Over 5 minutes you're sure to concede at least once.
