Makes sense. It almost sounds like Drouin. Depuis not a bad guy, he's actually raised millions for this city. But, he had very fragile confidence. Considering that, do you think he'd fit in our circus ?
He won’t be in the same role

And it’s not that he not support pression like JD, he’s just a player that need attention for the staff

How he is value less then Newhook ?

He out produce him, he’s bigger, 1 draft year younger

I didn’t say he’s worth less. I said he not worth more. Our 1st rounder is worth considerably more than 31 + 37. Laf isn’t that much better than Newhook.

He’s bigger but he’s also much slower. Which doesn’t fit Hughes’ vision at all.

I would paid more for Laffy

We have many players that plays fast but not many players that can play the style Lafreniere can bring

One dude is loud, the next dude is quiet. It's annoying, but it's a free agency show for free if people are looking

Power forward who I see him scoring 30 G and bringing a physical presence

Could be. I don’t see the power, strength or aggressiveness in his game yet. Not much progression since coming in as a rookie which is concerning.

Too bad for his sake, it’s looking like he’s not getting dealt somewhere. A change of scenery would probably benefit him.

Like I tell my wife “if you bring new crap in the house you gotta get rid of some existing crap first”.

Hoping more for Laval to get good vets and a goon.

I can't see the Habs ever acquiring Comtois, McLeod, Hart or anyone from the 2018 WJC team who was in London at that event until after the criminal investigation is complete and their names get cleared. The PR stings from drafting Mailloux are still fresh and this Team Canada situation was far worse.

This take is really off. Arber is so much more than an enforcer. In fact, his enforcer role is a bonus to everything else he brings to the table and, yes, that includes puck moving, supporting offence, scoring goals in addition to his strong defensive game. At the time of his injury, he was on the primary shutdown pairing with Savard. MSL himself mentioned that we don't usually expect a big, physical dman to have the offensive skills he has. And what the poster said makes sense to me that Arber is too valuable to be constantly fighting and risking an injury.
Shutdown pairing? On the Habs? Come on. He’s a glorified bottom pairing defenceman. It’s a great story to have him and I love his physicality, but he is what he is.
