If Byfield truly was available (which he's not), I think the Avs would do what they could to outbid any other team.

Mitts I think would work well in the Kings system and deepens their center pipeline. Byfield with his speed is the perfect fit in Bednar's system.

Surely there are no LA fans that think Byfield is even close to the value of Jack Hughes or Bedard?

Absolutely not

But they're also in quite a predicament

at the current time they're not likely to get back good (relatively) value

But there's also the outcome where they trade him and then he blows up, which any GM trading with the Kings at this point should bank on with their dogshit deployment and development

All that is to say it would take an overpayment (to how this forum values him) to get Byfield because there's a big gaping hole at C in this org even with him.

I struggle with this one because I feel like Byfield-Power is probably close, but Clarke's value should be higher than Cozens (given his long term contract and not necessarily living up to it)
