They had a great start to the season, and turns out having a couple of players that can score goals is enough to win games in this league. Secondary scoring has been a big issue.Only watched a few games this season, and man have they not looked good.
How did they finish at the top?
Expansion draftt is on Monday.
Victoire only protextec Desbiens, Poulin & Stacy, who were also the 3 first players signed to the franchise.
Interestingly enough, Boston didn't protect Hilary Knight.
I think that was media rumors, she already signed with Seattle team.Wasn't it Knight who said I only play for Boston ?
You might be thinking of Amanda Kessel? She was drafted by Montréal last year but everyone knew she wouldn't leave Boston.Wasn't it Knight who said I only play for Boston ?

Anyhow. La Victoire lost Cayla Barnes as she signed a contract with Seattle. Tough loss.
For sure. The PWHL really wants to make sure that these teams hit the ground running to make sure the markets care about the team. I get it, but it's rough for Montreal. I imagine the other teams have lost some great players too, but I haven't really been paying attention.Man, Vancouver and Seattle can start with pretty good teams next season
The other teams also lost great players. Vancouver signed two D from Minny and they added Sarah Nurse too. Seattle has signed 3 players so far.For sure. Boston lost Knight, she was their captain and one of the 3 finalists for the MVP and finished tied for top scorer. That's the equivalent of the Victoire losing Poulin. For sure.
