It wasn't in 1909.Whoever designed the logo deserves a raise. I don't love or hate the name, but I'm guessing it'll grow on people. If you think about it, the Canadiens is a pretty odd choice for a name as well but I wouldn't change it for the world lol.

Also reminds me a little bit of the OneSoccer logo

Depends where you live? Scepter is the US spelling and Sceptre is the UK spelling. Why Scepters? Also have I been misspelling Scepter my whole life?
IMO, it's ridiculous win or lose - but so are all the others, except maybe MN. At least the team's logo looks good.Les Royales de Montréal would had been a more appropriate name. (But Toronto has the Sceptres…..) With the name they have now, they MUST win, because it’s gonna become ridiculous if they are not.
The logo is absolutely superb.
The name is absolutely horrible.
Just refer to them as the Vickies. The headline after a loss : Défaite de la Victoire ? And after a win: Victoire de la Victoire?
Vic-twarFor us non French speakers, how would you pronounce this word?
Yeah, They will soon become the « Vics » , as "les Canadiens" are best known as Habs around here on this board.Just refer to them as the Vickies.
