But they haven't come out flying. I wouldn't call that period "good" by Dallas. It was a disaster. Sure they outshot Edmonton, how many were HDC that might have been goals? 1? if that?
They had a couple. Just suck on special teams, which is a part of the game

Pretty decent 5on5 period from Dallas to be honest. Can't take penalties though, and the Ceci slash was completely unnecessary. If that's McDavid sure, but you know Ceci is either putting the puck right into the logo of the goalie, or not getting a shot at all, with or without the slash.

Dallas has been the better team.

Oilers are built like an NBA team. With their conversion rate on the powerplay, the team game doesn't matter much. Personally it goes against what I like about hockey, but to their credit, how else do you win with the salary cap and such expensive talent? It's a model for Toronto and other top heavy teams to follow.

The leadership group of Dallas is weak. It’s undeniable. When it’s no longer found money, they get soft. It happens every year.
Every round, people were doubting the Oilers, and when they won it became all about how the other team just wasn't any good.

If the Oilers prevail this series, Dallas will get the same treatment. They are already. Dallas was a top team in the league, and a much harder opponent than Florida will be.

My prediction is Oettinger puts up a shutout from here on out and Dallas scores 4.

I will admit I was wrong if none of the above happens.

Dallas just needs to stay on it

Folks should bookmark this post. Otto doesn't seem to have it tonight but 2-0 leads are the worst for this series... so who knows.

If you’re Maurice and Edmonton wins this series you have to watch video of games 1-4 and see exactly what Dallas did or Edmonton didn’t do to have such an ineffective PP And try to duplicate that

Florida is very aggressive pk team. If Edmonton is lucky enough to make SCF, they will need to be very good 5 on 5.

I’d bet the house on Florida over Dallas. I think Edmonton could win. But, it’s not too late to delete this comment.
