This Edmonton Oilers team is one of the weirdest teams I've ever watched.

Their strengths are SO great, but their weaknesses are SO glaring, that I could pretty much believe ANY outcome for them.

Miss the playoffs? I believe it.

Win the President's trophy? I believe it.

Swept in the first round? I believe it.

Win the cup? I believe it.

I remember Peter Deboer getting beaten by a young Mike Sullivan who was an early season replacement on an underperforming team. This was always Edmonton’s year to win the cup.

It’s a tale as old as time. Team doesn’t meet expectations, coach gets fired mid-season, team goes on to win the cup after gaining momentum late in the year.

Dallas is absolutely done.
