I remember seeing Lysell get a really good chance in tight right after the goalie change but other than that it was a forgettable night for him.

I liked Koepke the most out of the forward group

Kuntar is fun but worried he doesn’t have the skill to hold a bottom six spot

Kastelic mixed it up a lot but he took some really bad penalties. He kind of lost them the game except he’s getting better reviews here than Lysell. Little weird to me cause he hurt them more than helped

Probably because Kastelic did his job in what amounted to an AHL preseason game while Lysell could not do his against similar talent from his two years in Providence. Kastelic will make this team, play on the fourth line and do his job. Sometimes he will take bad penalties causing trouble or sticking up for teammates. Good, they have not had nearly enough of that the past decade. Lysell was invisible, he needs to show what he is capable of and so far, in three preseasons now, he has not done that. He reinforces his reputation of being selfish and a "contractor"

The Bruins have been totally missing having a guy take two low IQ tripping penalties for ages.

I only caught a wee bit of the game.

Love how involved Kastellic is every shift. I don't think he will be an every day player this year, but there's no doubt he likes to mix it up.

I thought Duran played a pretty good game.

Lohrei looks decent. I still think he holds onto the puck a little too long at times, though.

He might be dealing with what I call "post concussion fog"- technically he's healthy & cleared to play but he's still "off" inside. Brandon Carlo was like that a long time after he was cleared to play now look at him.
That's what I was thinking. The concussion last year pissed me off because it was such a cheapshot, and he worked hard to get back from the shoulder injury. I know plenty of people want to write him off, but he's clearly still working his way back. When he really gets healthy, he's an asset to this organization and team.

Duran had the game where he doesn't look exactly ready but he looks like when he is ready, he's gonna be such a good Bruin

Yeah, I think there was a lot to like about Kastelic, but you are right... in the end his penalties outweighed any good and he was a net negative. And I say this as someone who was very happy watching him during the game.

But, it's a pre-season game. You are looking for the moxie more than caring about how smart the penalties he takes are.

On average, every five penalties he takes is going to be a PP goal against. If he is going to be in the penalty box multiple times every game come the regular season he will be in the box on the 9th floor instead very quickly unless he is suddenly scoring 40 goals.

But, overreacting to pre-season games, especially the early ones, is how I got myself into penciling in Jakob Zboril into the top 4 :).
