I don't want to be a party pooper or anything, but as good as we looked last night, I think the two teams were playing the game with two totally different mind-sets.

I think the CBJ wanted to play a really strong game to get a feel for what they have, while the Preds played the game more as a way to get in game shape, and not get injured. They are more a known product, and I think they probably did not feel the need to play that hard in a pre-season game. I don't think any Pro wants to get blown out in any game, but I think it got out of hand so quickly that it didn't really make much of a difference if they suddenly kicked it up a notch.

We are not going to see that Nashville effort in the regular season.

I can't say I really strongly agree or disagree. Obviously the CBJ wanted to put on a show for the fans. However, I'm sure Nashville had more motivation going into the last game. Having that really doesn't explain 7 goals getting by Rinne. I expected the CBJ to come out harder, but that was something else.

Not sure what that something else was, but that can't just be explained away by a different mindset - especially in the context of the last two games.

I'm not sure if this means we're actually a 100 point team or if Nashville has some issues right now. Might be a combination of both.

I'm don't disagree, but that doesn't take away from how good we were. We, especially the first line, are ready for the season to start. Not every team is at this point.

Yeah..it's the preseason and hard to read anything to far into it. However, I don't think Preds would be happy if their players were just floating through two preseason losses to the CBJ by a combined score of 12-3. Preds were 3-0-1 in their other (non-CBJ) preseason games.

Agreed.. wonder what Preds fans are thinking right now.

A blend of "it's the preseason; the Jackets did this to us last year too and we were fine" and

Didn't Shea Weber tear his ACL in the playoffs only a few months back?

Must not have been a complete tear as it doesn't sound like he had surgery.

lol you're probably right... but I highly doubt Rinne woke up this morning feeling OK about giving up 7 last night.

What do you guys think of JJ, Savard, and Murray this year? Who do you think is going to be more productive?

When he was pulled he was pulled permanently. It was in the third period. The CBJ made him look not just bad but ordinary.
