The personnel on this powerplay doesn't exactly strike fear in the opposition.

They have a week of practice until the first 2 games. And then another week break. Zibanejad/Panarin/Kreider/etc. don't need a reminder of how to play against NHL teams. Sure, it's an unorthodoxed approach, but I don't see the point in getting so mad, before we've even seen the first few games.

Practice will never be a substitute for real game play and the experience that players gain from it, especially the kids.
Quite honestly.. It frustrates the hell out of me that players are still being played out of position as if that is supposed to benefit anyone and the fact that nearly every team in the league has their full line up already intact and ready to go.
I think DQ is exactly what he is..A college coach..
