Gonna suck when ADA has a tremendous year and we will have a hard time keeping him.

Zbad ===== What a 2C!

If he has a tremendous year, he will get paid. What are you worried about?
That we won't be able to afford him or JG won't want to pay him what he will be asking second time around.

Andersson and Lemieux need to be glued to each other. They’re tremendous forechecking together.
I think lias should play with panarin and butch...because honestly...those guys don’t need a center imho. Lias can be a 2 way guy with them....play kreider and zibenajad together.

I’m exhausted tho so if I regret this post in the morning I reserve the right to pretend I never made it.

My takes are the following:

Lias has secured his spot in the top 9 as all the work he did in the offseason has paid off and he looks like a completely different player and now the 7th overall we spent on him looks like it won't be a wasted pick afterall which was in question heading into the year..well done Lias as he's had a masterful preseason...phewww

Chytle..luv the guy and luv the skill set and I'm very confident he's going to be a bigtime contributer for us but lets be honest folks...he's been nothing like we expected and what I'm sure he expected. As I said a few times tonight and in some other game day threads, he's just not ready yet. He's the same guy he was last year and unlike Lias has not made the necessary improvements in his game needed to move to the next level.

He needs to go to Hartford to get some confidence and get his game in gear. He's certainly not ready for a 2nd line center slot which is what we all were hoping and what Quinn and the coaching staff were hoping and so with us having pretty much 3 weeks between games seemingly in the beginning of the season, let him play in Hartford and see if he get his ass back on track. He simply is not ready.

Hank looks like he's ready to play 40-45 games this year and if he can play like he can play at the high level like he did tonight 90% of the time and Georgie can play up to his potential the rest of the time, we should be in pretty good shape and no doubt be in the mix for a playoff spot.

DeAngelo looked fantastic and if this is what we are in for, I would have no issue at all and hopefully Quinn won't either no matter how much Trouba makes per year, if ADA is our QB on the #1 PP unit beginning game 1 and see how that goes

One more thing. I haven't seen what we need to see from Trouba yet or even Kakko tho he has shown a glimpse or two. Trouba tho has let's be honest again...blown chunks. It's early but it would be nice for both of them to at least show their A games like quickly.....OK I'm done!...lol

Deangelo could not look fantastic...he didn’t train with prentiss and must have been sitting on his sofa eating Doritos since he wasn’t with the rest of the guys with the one and only hockey trainer in the world.

Was at the game taking a friend to their first Rangers Game.

Well, you know...it was preseason. I felt the lines and even the PPs were almost designed to fail and I don't mean Quinn was sabotaging the game or anything, but they were constructed to not work in favor of anyone's strengths and force them to showcase their individual skills. That's why there was a lack of flow.

The team is also paying extra attention to D Zone structure so they don't seem as loose. The offense will come especially with the top line intact and mismatches will be created the rest of the way.

Lundqvist was great tonight. If he's like this most of the season and gets enough rest then the minority that wants to run him out of town won't have much to say.

Mika was amazing. Good games from the D. Hajek has pretty much nailed the 2nd/3rd pair at this point. ADA and Lemieux were great. Smith IMHO has done enough to stay for now.

I don't think Kaako or Kravstov were as invisible as some people thought. Both did some nice things, both are still young. They have the offensive gifts, it's the anticipation and reaction time to transition from D to O that needs to improve. Kaako can get away with it due to his natural talent and size, Kravstov I'm not sure if he should stay up or not.

McKegg has nailed that 13th forward spot in my opinion.

Not worried about Chytil but there's a very good chance he's going to start in the AHL. Anderson is ready for bottom 6 duty, Howden is Howden, and if Kravstov does stay up, it means one young player has to go down.

Must be missing whatever it is you are attempting to communicate here. Admittedly I've had a few cocktails as I just finished my 2nd and last $$ fantasy hockey draft tonight and watched Aaron Rodgers give me a huge lead in my fantasy football matchup this week...so my brain might be a bit scrambled....lol.

That said,I thought ADA looked great tonight.

There’s more than enough room to pay him for next year. Look at who is under contract. There more than enough coming off the books.

Gorton? I assume he will pay for performance. He would be crazy not to.

Now go earn it Tony.
