Andersons skating looks much better tonight although every once in a while he shows that quirky first step when the play goes in the other direction. I'm a bit relieved seeing him have more jump tonight than he did on Sat. Looks much faster.

Chytil is not looking very sharp in the defensive zone. Decision making is not quick enough.

It's not the speed of his decision making, more his actual decisions.

He just turned 18. The kid is going to make mistakes, especially on NHL ice. It will take him some time to adjust, and mature.

He's doing unreal things at his age, a very bright future for him from what we've seen so far.

They have played in so many different lineups after so much time off that I'm not shocked at them having some issues. Hopefully they work the rust off by opening night.

I see the power play still hasn't improved at all. Still dumping and chasing followed up the two wingers standing around looking like idiots with no structure or plans. Zuccarello had no one to pass to with two forwards attacking him. Everyone is standing around. They had an off season to address their power play coaching deficiencies and they instead went out and hired a buddy for Vigneault and Arniel. Shame.

Dude, Staal, all you had to do was tap it to Andersson up the middle to jumpstart the rush. Instead, he tries a Crosby backhand to Fontaine, causes a turnover, and gets Andersson potentially hurt. Bang up job.
