He reminds me more of a more game and responsible Savard. He is not quite as agile though.

That's an excellent comparison, the best one I have seen yet, a right-handed version of him. Not the biggest or fastest guy, but scrappy and blessed with tremendous vision and play making ability.

The lack of 5 on 5 offense is what concerns me the most. Way too early to panic, but certainly keeping an eye on this at the beginning of the season.
I don’t think it’s too early to panic.

Given what was lost over the offseason and not even close to being replaced, I think the lack of 5 on 5 offense is going to be a theme for the season.

A refund on the last 2 hours would be appreciated.

Not the first preseason game where players who should be desperate for attention finishing hits, skating hard, etc. were utterly invisible. A bit concerning.

Reality is... what more is he going to gain going down to the OHL?
Yeah, it's a good question. AHL I could see helping him. OHL not so much given that he is already outplaying NHLers in the games he has been in. Kid has done everything and then some asked of him in camp. We shall see if Cam sticks to his word about the players who perform the best staying with the Bs big club regardless of contract situation, name, etc.

From what I've seen of the preseason so far, I think the Bruins have to hope the centennial celebrations distract from this team.
tonight was clearly the " B" team on the ice

it will be interesting to see how the "A " squad plays like tomorrow night - have to be better than 13 shots and 11 hit

still a couple of tweaks to make but not many players tonight showed why they should make the final roster

The face wash is a thing for a reason

Now cmere, you

I've never smelled anything so putrid in my life. And I've changed baby diapers, baby puke, human puke, dog and cat shit, etc

Those gloves were not human. I am gagging typing this. The last time a hockey glove was near my nose was 2004. My 14 year old self was NEVER the same.

That's not human. Nope!

Crap roster. Crap result. No biggie. Huge gap between what was on the ice tonight versus what the opening night roster will be. Good thing about tonight is that it made the coach and GMs job a little easier when it comes to paring things down.

I've been near many of them that I will not go willingly near one again

...especially the gloves
Remember about 10 years ago when I forget who it was I think the guy was born on the Bruins where they got like some flesh-eating virus or something from the f****** gloves. And then there is a business a local business here in Boston that did whatever they did to make them less lethal.

A lot of guys out there tonight playing like they'd rather be in Providence than Boston. Coyle looked like Coyle, and I'm still impressed with Poitras but just about everybody else was terrible.

I know he scored the goal, but Geekie looking like a bad signing right now. Maybe he's one of those guys that is bad in preseason and will turn it on in the regular season but he is showing absolutely nothing right now. All that talk of him moving up the line up in the off season looks pretty silly at the moment. Greer I think no longer has a purpose assuming we go with Looch.

McLaughlin and the rest of the AHL guys look like AHL guys. McLaughlin definitely not showing the potential he did last year. Don't know what is up with him. Lysell is terrible. You can still believe in him if you like, but he's definitely not ready. Not even close. Question now is if ever.

Given this sad sack crew, Bruins will be crazy if they don't give Poitras the 9 or 10 game (whatever the rule says) shot before a final decision on him. I can see him having a Beniers type season for us if given the chance.

Brazeau and his size is intriguing, but he has to learn to initiate and use that size more. More development time needed, but has potential maybe.

All in all not impressed. Yes, Philly had an NHL roster but it's Philly. They shouldn't have been the better team. Not good.

That sweat bacteria build up is no joke! It's horrifying
