I may be biased, but I've just not seen anything to suggest that Lias doesn't belong on this team. He's nothing spectacular like Kakko or Kravtsov, just a solid player all around. His only real weakness is his skating, and that is massively improved from last season.

I think that entire sequence summed up why Staal can't really play at this level anymore.

Not fast enough to get/keep separation, muscled off the buck by someone who weighs like a buck 70, and then I dunno wtf he was doing on the goal against.

Fox made the TO, but it was really a product of Staal being Staal.
