The first line does nothing for me, Kreider and Richards to be specific.

Krieder doesn't assert himself at all it seems. Richards looks slow but he can pass if he can get the puck. Richards can't be a puck carrier on a line like that. If you want to use Richards/Nash you need a big physical wing who can dominate on the boards. If you want Krieder/Nash you got to have either:

a)a Big physical center

b)a quick agile passing center with great hands who can carry the puck.

Richards is neither of those things...

The top lines biggest problem is richards. both nash and kreider have been getting open and richards has missed them multiple times becase he has no speed and his passing skills have really gone south
