[FIELDSET="QUOTES TO NOTE"]

I’m just going to try to take it one game at a time. Try my best.
I know that last year I had another level in my game that I wanted to show, and maybe I showed it, but now it’s a new season. It’s only one preseason game.
I was just coming in tonight to get my timing right. I just want to get myself ready for Phoenix, for that first regular season game.
- Derick Brassard

It was good to be back in a game just to feel the games, the screens, they had a little power play time so that felt good.
It’s a progression you’ve got to take. Games are part of it, practices are part of it, the way you conduct yourself, the way you prepare for these games are part of it.
Ultimately, my job when I’m put in games in the regular season is to respond.
- Martin Biron

In my estimation, it’s very good to have a shutdown pair, a pair of defensemen who can play against the other team’s top offensive players.
I also like to have a pair of defensemen to play with my top forwards, two guys who can move the puck and play with the top offensive players. It’s a combination of different things.
If you look at what is considered our top six D, I’ve played Del Zotto with Staal, I’ve played Girardi with McDonagh and I’ve played Moore with Stralman.
That’s worked out well for us. That’s exactly how we practiced and we’ll continue in that fashion for a little bit.
- Alain Vigneault

I hope this game is more entertaining than the previous 2.

I enjoyed the Philly game, the Rangers played very well IMO. The Pouliot-Brassard-Zuccarello line was a ton of fun.

McIlrath's hipcheck was also very entertaining, but not in a good way. :laugh:

Lets go boys. Dominate the game dominate the win. Wanna see some good stuff from Nasher and Kreider. Look forward to brass being brass and Zucc showing us something. Also would appreciate McI being impressive.

Did anyone notice that was Nash wearing an "A" in the first preseason game aswell? Richards seems to have lost his one?

That Nash Kreider Richards line looked pretty bad. Hope to see some improvements, there.
